There has been this ongoing trend floating around on TikTok called the weekly R.E.P.O.R.T. It’s where users share what they have been reading, eating, playing, obsessing, recommending, and treating themselves within that week.
I have always been wanting to participate in that trend, but I always forget about doing it. Upon remembering it now (quite literally just right now), I thought it would be a cool take on doing a monthly R.E.P.O.R.T and writing them down instead.
(Excuse me guys, just finding a reason to keep this writing momentum going. I don’t wanna lose it again LOL.)
I don’t recall reading anything in particular last month, like a novel of some sort.
But I have been indulging in some quite interesting articles and newsletters.
Eliza’s essay, titled coquette inclination really stood out to me. In it, she talks about her experience at a catholic church with her extended family in West Virginia; she further delves into how young people, including herself, feel a pull towards meaning-making and ritual in order to deal with the trials and tribulations of modern society.
I personally think this really hit close to home. Now that we’re surrounded by insane innovative technologies that seem to continue evolving at a rapid pace, reverting back to something more traditional, especially a religion that lasted over 2,000 years or so, can feel comforting.
As someone who grew up Catholic, and is now kind of in a weird limbo with her faith, it’s pretty nostalgic every time I attend a mass. Or almost like revisiting youth in rose-coloured glasses.
This led me down the rabbit hole of the coquettification of catholicism. It was pretty interesting, as someone who’s both a Catholic and into the whole “coquette” aesthetic.
Here’s the other two articles that I found to be an insightful read:
#Jesusismybestfriend: Lana del Rey’s Catholic Coquette
Vox: How Catholicism became a meme
My favourite food that I have eaten in the month of March will probably be Chicken Katsu Curry. I don’t care if you think it’s the most basic Japanese food you can ever order… It’s freaking food! TMI, but I’m just gonna poop it out at the end of the day, like every other food I consume.
So I don’t really care if you find it basic.
(I’m sorry if I sound heated and incredibly passionate about this topic, but I’m genuinely tired of people caring about what I choose to eat or wear like MYOB.)
Before anyone gets confused about this part, playing can mean playing games, a sport, playing and experimenting with your fashion choices, or your skincare, or it can also be which songs you’ve been playing on repeat.
For me, I don’t really play sports and games as much as I used to. And neither do I play with my fashion choices that much.
However…. I have been playing these songs on repeat this March:
I have also been playing with my skincare.
As someone who has acne-prone skin, I try my best to look for products that are best suited for my face. By far, the ones that have worked well for me were the Cerave Salicylic Acid face wash and the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, as well as The Ordinary.
Recently, a new skincare product that’s working well for me is RyxSkin.
Below, I’ve shown you both my morning and night skincare routine using RyxSkin’s products.
(Shameless plug, yeah. But in all seriousness, this skincare product actually slaps. And very coquette LOL.)

I have been obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo’s song called “obsessed.”
I have also been obsessed with anything leopard print, my Skechers D’Lite trainers that I got because 1) my Nike ones were really old and it’s starting to be a bit painful to walk in them, and 2) I’m doing the Marsden March this May! So I need to be prepared, and if you want to support me in my journey, you can donate here. It would mean a lot!
With spring slowly coming upon us, I’ve been trying to look into summer dresses as well! And with Bridgerton Season 3 releasing soon, I feel it’s obligatory to at least indulge in these summer dresses to get that Bridgerton-feel.
That could just be me though.
As Amy March said, “I want to be great, or nothing.”
I hope you get the analogy LMAO.
I highly recommend Joyce Meyer’s “Quiet Times with God Devotional.” It consists of 365 daily inspirations.
So you could read these motivational quotes as the days, weeks, months or years go by.
I think it’s really interesting to read the Bible verses, and interpret that into something motivational and relatable to anyone who reads them, regardless of whether they’re Catholic or not.
For example, today’s 5th of April and this is what it has to offer for me:
Well last month, I treated myself by going to my first ever Comic Con, and going to one of the Coyote Ugly Saloons.
Coyote Ugly is one of my favourite classic movies, and for me to finally visit the bar was almost like a dream come true.
Even though, I chickened out when one of the dancers asked me to come up and dance as well. (I deeply, deeply regret not coming up. I lose sleep over it LOL.)
Well that’s all for March’s R.E.P.O.R.T! I’ll catch you back in here next month for April’s! Lots of love! ♡♡♡
